Ok I just finally got my ECS K7S5A motherboard from Fedex today and I put it in my case and screwed it in, put on my 1.4 Athlon, my fan, and then I went to put in my pci cards. Then I noticed my pci slots on my motherboard and my pci slots in the back of the case don't line up. They are all off about a half inch. So now I need a new case and I have no idea where and what to buy. I didn't know cases came in different sizes where the pci slots line up. My case is pretty old so that may explain it, but please give me some insight if you can.

Who makes the ECS K7S5A M/B? Is the M/B ATX form factor? Is you old case AT form factor?

JC,

The ECS mobo is made by ECS (Elite Groups) it is ATX form factor. I have no idea what my case is, the guy who built the computer originally said it was ATX. I mean the holes line up when I screw in the motherboard and everything just the pci slots don't. I guess I will just have to buy a new case, but I'd still like to know what's up with this one.

Here is a web site that explains the difference between the ATX & Micro ATX cases.
