Hi, I'd like to get some feedback for this psu, this will be my first build and I'm not sure if this psu will be enough for this build.

PSU: OCZ modxstream pro 500w modular
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341016

here's the system:
nzxt phantom 410 -case
gigabyte Z77-D3H -Mobo
i5 3570k -cpu
g.skills 8gb sniper -ram
samsung 840 pro 256gb -SSD
msi N660Ti PE 2GD5/OC -gpu

On newegg's psu finder utility, my system was said to use around 410w. I'm not sure if the graphics card will need more because its OC'd. I tried looking at msi's product page and cant find how much power this card will need.

Have a similar system sitting on the bench ( Asus MB, G.Skil Ripjaws, Corsair C70 Case, Antec TP550w )
Killawatt readings
Idle ..........................49-51w
Prime 95....................99-102w
Furmark benchmark....224w
Prime and Furmark .....262w
BF3...........................240w
ACIII ........................220w

The MXSP500 should do fine

Thanks! cant wait to start building

Newegg's PSU finder should be recommending a PSU with wattage of at least 400W (with two PCIe connectors) for your system.

This is much better than the MXSP500:
Rosewill Capstone-450M ($70 @ Newegg / $4 shipping)
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-capstone450m
More efficient, independantly regulated.

http://ht4u.net/reviews/2012/msi_geforce_n660_ti_gtx_power_edition_test/
HT4U measured that GPU drawing 147W in 'gaming'.

Aw sweet :D thanks! I would've never found how much pwer that card uses, again thanks for the response and if I should choose the 660ti build over the 680, I'll most likely get the psu you linked :D
