What's this blinking cylinder symbol in front of my case ?

I think it may be a battery symbol but I have no idea what is means ?

It fades and lights up in irregular intervals, it never just turns off unless the computer is off .

If you don't like it just open the case a and remove the two pin connector labeled HDD LED from the Front panel header.
