Help - Installing 2.5" SSD into Antec Eleven Hundred

My parts arrived today for my new desktop, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to install my 2.5" Samsung 830 series SSD. There doesn't appear to be a bay for it coming with the case or with the SSD. Does anyone have any experience with this particular case?

  1. I don't have any experience with that particular case, but why not just grab one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Drives-Converter-AC0014-Black/dp/B003WOL4VK/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_0_1

Good for 2 SSDs (or small HDDs if you happen to have them).
  2. According to the Newegg page for the Eleven Hundred, the case has two dedicated internal 2.5" drive bays.

So you should be able to mount them somewhere. Try checking behind the motherboard tray, sometimes there is 2.5" mounts back there to save space for the 3.5" drive bays at the front of the case.

If you cant find any, I guess you will have to get an adapter and place it in the front 3.5" bays.

Or get creative. Get some double sided tape and stick the SSD to the case. Make sure its secure. The SSD doesn't have any moving parts so it wont wriggle its way off or anything.

I'd do that. Hell, you could just toss the SSD on the bottom of the case if you wanted, you could juggle it around and it wouldn't interrupt it from working, like you said, no moving parts.
  4. Look in your manual Page 14 section 2.7 Internal 2.5” Device Installation. If you don't have the manual you can download it here: http://www.antec.com/product.php?id=704505&fid=4

take a look at pictures 4 and 7. Looks like the 2.5" bays are between the external bays and the internal 3.5" bays.
