Hello,

I am trying to build a new gaming PC (almost from scratch - going to use only the HDD and the ODD from my old computer - the specs of my old computer http://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?e=212614 ) , but i'm kinda new to this and i would need some help with it.

Approximate Purchase Date:ASAP

Budget Range: 500$-700$

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, internet, music, movies

Parts Not Required: Bought following:

GPU - Asus GeForce GTX 550Ti TOP 1GB (ENGTX550 TI DC TOP/DI/1GD5) - PCI-E / DVI / HDMI
http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/131429-asus_geforce_gtx_550ti_top_1gb-pci-e-dvi-hdmi

PSU - Corsair PowerSupply (PSU) CX V2 600W
http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/134461-corsair_powersupply_cx_v2_600w

CPU - going to buy Intel Core i5-3570K - 4 trådar / 3,4GHz (3,8GHz Turbo) / 6MB / Socket 1155 (Boxed) (Upplåst) (77w)
http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/151009-intel_core_i5-3570k-4_tradar-3.4ghz-6mb-socket_1155

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/

Country:Sweden - I live in Stockholm

OS - Currently having Windows Vista OEMAct 32b - going to look for Windows 7 Ultimate 64b - if I'll buy a new motherboard will I need a new license?

Parts Preferences: ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Corsair

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: Dell UltraSharp 1702FP - LCD display - TFT - 17" - 1280 x 1024 / 75 Hz - 250 cd/m2 - 500:1 - 0.264 mm - DVI-D, VGA - I'll buy another one but not too soon

Additional Comments: Decided to build a PC because my old one is broken - something happened with my mobo or CPU and it wasn't too good either.

I would need some help with choosing a motherboard and what do i have to look at when i'm buying it - preffered mobo manufacturers ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI

Going to buy some more RAM - because I have a 32b OS i'm not sure if I should buy following:
Corsair ValueSelect 4 GB DDR3 PC3-10666 1333MHz (CMV4GX3M2A1333C9) (2x2GB) - http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/127262-corsair_valueselect_4_gb_ddr3_pc3-10666_1333mhz
or if I should buy 1x4gb now and buy another one after i get an 64b OS

Want to buy another HDD too - currently have one of 250gb and I'm going to use it on my new PC. I found some HDD's at a quite good price but any other suggestions are welcomed:

My current computer case is a Minitower. Should I buy a Mid-tower?
This is one I looked at - http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/158317-aerocool_x-warrior_red_devil_edition

So I'm waiting for your suggestions and I hope there it's not too much "info" here for you to read :D :)

I recommend change some of them
1) GPU-get the HD6850 http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/132497-asus_radeon_hd6850_1gb_directcu
because it is better than the 550ti, you can find the review online.
2) PSU is overkill. Get this http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/156900-corsair_powersupply_gs_500w_gaming_series
Here is the review: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-GS500-Power-Supply-Review/1571

And then
For the HD if you need it for storage get the 2TB, if you need it for OS and game get the black 1TB.

For the MB because you are only want ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI. (it is hard for me look for it in that website, I can't read that sorry)
It is my first choice : Take the MSI Z77A-GD65 if you can find it. Then Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H, the next is Asus P8Z77-V Pro.

You need the CPU cooler too, because the CPU run hot if you OC. One agaian if you only perfer ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Corsair that get the CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler otherwise get one of them for exampe in the link

But my choice is COOLER MASTER Hyper 212.

For the RAm, you need two RAM to get the better performance. http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/hardvara/136626-corsair_valueselect_8gb_ddr3_pc3-10666_1333mhz

I'm not going to change the GPU because I already bought one and the differences between them are not so important because I don't play games at highest res (and I don't like too much the Radeon GPU's) so I'll stick with my overclocked 550ti.

About the mb the MSI and ASUS cost a bit too much so I'll get the Gigabyte one. Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H - ATX / Intel Z77 / 2xPCI-E / VGA / SATA 3.0 / USB 3.0 / HDMI This is the one you mean, right?

The CPU cooler I'll choose between this 3:
Cooler Master CPU Kylare Hyper 212 Evo - Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / AM3+ / FM1
or
Cooler Master CPU Kylare GeminII - Socket 775 / 1156 / 1155 / 1366 / AM3
or
Cooler Master Hyper 412S Cpu Cooler Which one you think would be a better quality/price deal?

And the PSU I know it's overkill but maybe in time I'll change some of the parts. You can never be too sure :)

In addition I would like to say that I'm trying to get a rig as good as i can with the budget I mentioned, so changing parts I already have is out of the question.
