Hi all, I recently bought this desktop

http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/PT.SJWP2.001

which comes with AMD A6-3620 llano processor with integrated Radeon HD6530D.

My question is, could I upgrade the graphic card to something like Radeon HD6850, 6870, 6950, etc?

I saw some posts that says you can't upgrade and some post that says you can upgrade to dedicated graphic cards

Any thoughts?

Also, if I can upgrade, could Nvidia card work as well?

Solution
according to this

there is a pci-e x16 slot so you can put a dedicated gpu. but doing so will 99% likely have to swap out your psu. nvidia card should work as well

putting in a high end card though will turn off the integrated graphics. the highest card you can use for hybrid crossfire is the hd6670. if you dont care about hybrid crossfire, feel free to fit a decent pci-e card in. just dont go too high or the cpu will bottle neck it.

yeah I really don't care about hybrid crossfire.

Do you have any recommendation for the video card?

I'm currently thinking of HD6850 or gtx560 series

Also, to note, I only play at 720p due to my tv max resolution

both will play fine at that resolution.
