the card is pci 3 and my motherboard is not i think?

will these two work together?

Card will work. The card supports PCI 3 but does not require it. At this point there is almost no advantage to PCI 3 except future proofing. Since you already have the motherboard, don't worry about it.

there is no difference between PCI-E 3.0 or 2.0 you can run PCI-E 3.0 gpu fine with 2.0 slot with no performance drop here is the image.
