i have an athlon X3 450 on a stock CPU cooler and running Prime95 and in a few minutes it reaches over 80C Temp. Is it normal to hit that temp when stressing? is it bad for the CPU?

i am trying to Overclock and start at the default clkspeed with prime95.
any help with overclocking is appreciated.

Default BIOS settings.

Pretty much anything. If your new you might be better off with a nonconductive paste. You should never ever use enough to have it spill onto your mobo but uh, just in case.
