What temps are normal for our dinasau...I mean 8800 GTS 640

Old card, but still working. Have recently been getting more into knowing what is happening inside. This thing never seems to change much-71-75 C.

Those are pretty good load temps, hot though for idle.

I would expect an idle temperature of 52°C and a load temperature of 76°C as being "normal".

I agree 50s at idle and 80s under load.

I still have a 2 8800gt sli in my secondary system. Those cards can still run most any game on medium-ish settings.

Those are pretty good temps for that card.

I have an 8800GTX running in one of my systems still, and it runs stuff at meduim to high, and its still a good card.

Is CPUID's HWMonitor pretty accurate on gpu temps? And what do you all think is the upper limit? This is when checked under no or light load. Will get wife to fire up a game later, and check under load. Yeah, it still seems to work pretty well, but recently upgraded from old Core 2 Duo setup to Phenom II X4, so would like to at least have a DirectX 11 card. Ok, wife running relatively modest game, gpu is showing 91 C in HWMonitor.
