I'm building a gaming computer. I have an Intel i5 3570k CPU, Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H Motherboard, OCZ 600W PSU, an OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD (for now all I need), and 4GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM. What I'm deliberating now is what to get for the GPU. The primary, if not only, game I will be playing is Guild Wars 2. I've read the game is not extremely demanding on a graphics card so a $150-200 (I was thinking the $200 HD 7850) should be able to play or max out the settings - something I want to do. Other games out there are a lot more demanding though and require a stronger GPU than one merely sufficient for GW2. I'm considering this because I don't know if I'll have the time to play in a year's time and would like the security of a strong resale value. I can afford the parts but would like the safety net of being able to sell the computer in maybe a year for a decent sum (around $1000). It seems to me it'd be more prudent then to put in a better GPU. I've been considering the GTX 670 for that. It's expensive but would both max out GW2 (easily) and have a strong value even next year.
I guess my main question is with resale value in mind, should I put an HD 7850 or GTX 670 into my new build for GW2 (and *maybe* some others)?
