I am in the process of picking a new gpu for my new build and was just wondering is their any differenc between the top and standard version of this card?I know the top card is clocked higher but is that the only difference because if it is then i would just overclock it myself.

The main difference is the clocks. The ASUS GTX 680 gets specific binned chips (these chips are able to clock higher and are successful and stable). I am not too sure if it applies to the ASUS GTX 670 Top version.

Get the voltage unlocked GTX 670 one such as MSI GTX 670 PE. You will appreciate it later on during overclocking.

Thanks for the reply's lads,have ordered the rest of my system but still trying to make my mind up on whether to get the 670 or 7970.Amd's new driver seems to really bring out the 7970's potential.
