so I have had this game since release, and as far as I'm concerned, I could run this game smoothly on ultra when it was on it's beta stage. However I can't even run it smoothly on high anymore for some reason, And I'm sure my specs are good enough:

MSI 890 FXA-GD70
six core pheniom 2
16GB of ram
2TB hard drive and one 120 GB SSD drive
XFX FORCE 6950 (crossfiring 2 of them, one has 1 GB and the other has 2GB)
750 W power supply

I really do not understand why my pc can't run this game on ultra, without huge FPS problems, and it's really pissing me off.
If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the new 12.6 drivers AMD released? (It's the real version, not BETA.) If you still have issues, you can try the 12.7 BETA drivers.

Oh *** guys, I forgot to mention this performance problem is based on Battlefield 3!

Yea, people have issues with Battlefield 3 at the moment. The 12.6 driver supposedly increases performance to Battlefield 3 by 3%

yeah, but I have seen youtube videos with the same card as me. and he ran the game at Ultra with 70-100 FPS.

Could've been the latest update with Battlefield 3. Or a driver issue with the game.

I've had the problem for a long time, and I'm pretty sure it has somethign to do with my cards, because I can't even run skyrim at the highest settings. which it undoubtly should be able to run.

And this issue doesn't happen with other games?
June 30, 2012 1:27:23 AM

it does, take guild wars 2 as an example. tried running it, I cant run it on the highest settings at ALL. has like 20 fps, freaking horrible. and I can't figure out what it is.

Do you remember which driver version you installed that started the problem? You may want to roll back driver's until stable. That's if it gets stable.
