Graphic Card Compatibility

I am getting a XFX Radeon HD 6870 and I have heard that it doesn't come with a molar thingy. I am a complete noob since it is my first build. So I really don't want to mess up! I getting a PSU:
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W
And idk if they come with a molar thing or I have to buy one which is 5$
I prefer newegg.
Also mobo is :ASRock 970 EXTREME3

That's only if your PSU doesn't have enough PCIe power connectors. Yours has enough, it's no problem. You don't need one.

I know I have PCIe connectors except when I go to details in the newegg page, it says 1 x 6-pin and a 1 x 6+2pin. That means their is one x6 pin and one x8 pin right?

Sort of. One of them is 6 pins. The other is 6 pins, but there is a little 2 piin you can clip to the side making it 8 pins. You don't have to clip it, so you have either a 6 or an 8.
