Sreen Light Not Coming On

Hello,
When I turn on my Toshiba L455D S5976 laptop the "Trubrite" display is not on but the regular stuff is on the screen just to dim to see it without a flashlight?

Sounds like your back-light is out. You may be able to get a replacement at a reasonable price (i've seen them for about $20), but you will have to take the screen apart to get too it.

Thanks for responding. I took the screen out and replaced it with a spare and the back light never came on. So I imagine that the inverter is bad but I do not want to buy one and have a mother board issue! If you have any further advice I would greatly appreciate it! "Be Easy!" Neighborsboy
