I have some Arctic Silver 5 which I want to use with my i3-2100, since I'm replacing the motherboard and will have to remove the paste that comes with the stock cooler. The paste however has been lying in my drawer for over 6 months, in the tube ofcourse... is it still ok to use it?

Yes you should be able to use it however next time try to keep it in a lighted, ventilated area otherwise it can dry if left for too long(a year+).

But Arctic Silver sucks, NT-H1, TX-2, and IC Diamond are all better and are non conductive and non-toxic at that. Just had to get that out there.
