Tiny Crimsom Companion Question

Hi All;

The Tiny Companion that drops from the whelps in the Wetlands I understand
you can sell, but a question first please:

I was told that the companion is for looks only and doesn't fight or do
anything else, is that true?

Can any class use it? (I'm a druid)

Does it bind when you use it or can I use it for awhile then sell it if I
choose?

Thanks in advance for you time in answering this.

It's just a pet. Doesn't fight. It is BOE so no you can't use it and
then sell it, it's soulbound. Any class can have any pet. It's rare and
why it sells for so much.

Yes, it (like many other similar pets) is just for show.

Yes.

Bind on Use. Soon as you summon up a whelp, the box is yours.

Its a pet like cats or chicken or mechanical ones the engineers do. If you
use it its bound to you so you can't sell or trade it. It does not fight and
any class can use it :)
I say if you need money really, sell it on AH. But if you don't need money
just use it. They look very nice :))

Hi All;

Thanks ever so much for the answers. That will help me decide what to do IF
I ever find one. So far, killed a gazillion whelps for about 7 hours and no
joy so far...lol

Welcome to the World Of Farming Whelps. :)

7 hours? You've just started!

Just kidding. Some people luck out, get one after a few kills, me, it
took a couple weeks of spending an hour or two ganking whelps - had two
nice blues drop, and the other drops add up. I think the odds are 1/2000
for one to drop, and I got mine along the base of the hills.

I love my whelp George, and it was worth it. I tried farming for emerald
whelps, but got bored. They make good money on the AH, but farming
Scarlet Monastary is a better effort/gold ratio, if that's what you're
after.

Hi Dop;

Thanks once again for the info. I'm a 34 Druid. I stuck my head in the SC
area and like to have had it handed back to me. I think I'll have to wait a
little bit before solo'ing that area..
