I'm thinking about buying the Dell UltraSharp U2711 but I don't think my PC that I'm going to build would be able to consistently reach 60 FPS for BF3 on the native 2560 x 1440 resolution. What do you guys think?

Cheers.

Depending on settings, you should be pretty close most of the time. 50s certainly if you don't push AA too much. I run 2 560 448s in SLI which is in theory a little faster than a single 670 and I can get anything from the 30s to the 80s at 2560x1600 by tweaking quality settings and depending on what is going on in the game. Some people are more sensitive, but for me everything over 30 looks about the same.

Personally I find it unbearable at anything lower than 60 fps. Thanks for the advice though. Before purchasing the monitor I'll have a look in some 27 inchers in a store and change the settings to see what it looks like at a lower resolution. :)
