Is this video card compatible with my computer?

Hello, is this graphics card compatible with my computer?

The graphics card is a ASUS GeForce 210 1GB. (Link Below)

And the comptuer is a HP Compaq dc5100 Small Form Factor PC. (Link Below)

If it's not compatible, could you tell me the best video card I could get for around 30 dollars that is compatible?

Any replies would be very greatly appreciated.

  1. no that videocard is not compatible with your pc....your pc only has one low profile pcie 1x slot not a x16 slot unfortunately there are no video cards for around 30 dollars that would work with your system...the cheapest one that could work with your system is around 65 dollars
  2. Do you think this would work well with it?

yes that would work no problem.
  5. Thank you very much for the replies, I appreciate it.
  6. If you are trying to game though, that is not going to end up working.

But overall, if you are just trying to get a display, it should work fine.

the gpu wll choke running the game. you may have a chance at 800x600 with the lowest settings. but I wouldn't call it gameplay. tbh the gt520 is not designed for gaming- it just works as a display adapter.

oh sorry I did not realize you said Elder Scroll IV,(I thought you said elder scroll V) I think you can run the game with medium to high settings.
  9. You might be able to run it, but on quite low settings
  10. Thank you everybody for the responses.
I do have a few more questions though.

Would it be recommended that I buy this? (If this is even compatible)
    http://www.amazon.com/HIS-Silence-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-H545H1GD1/dp/tech-data/B004GL72K0/ref=de_a_smtd

Or should I stick with this?

And would my CPU affect the performance greatly? Or does it not really matter?

    Thanks, Chris
  11. that 5450 would be the same as the 210 you're getting rid of.

    stick with the 610
