So from what I've read a single 670 can run pretty much any game at 1080p with 60fps or over. If I were to sell my 570 2.5gb and get a 670, how long would it be before games come out that will run under 60fps. I mean do developers kind of stick with a certain level of graphical fidelity for a while before switching, or is it a steady rise.

Like if you were looking at a chart, do PC graphics hit plateaus or is it more of a steady diagonal line.

Seems like 570 2.5gb sli will run almost anything at 100fps or over. I just don't want to buy a 670 and then have to buy another one right away to stay at or above 60fps.

I have a 670 2gb running 1080 on a 4.5ghz 2500k CPU, without vsync on my framerates jump to like 120 or 130. As far as how long will it last before it can't play games at 60fps, I'd say 2.5-3 years if history repeats itself. The 470 still gets the job done, that thing is almost an antique. I can tell you one thing it will def. be a long long time before a game comes out that the 670 by itself can't handle. By then they will be sub $300 hopefully and you can add another one. Or find a single card solution again when the time comes, by then we will have 8 series nvidia cards.

I currently have a single 570 2.5gb.

How much do i need to worry about power. I have a 1050w psu. I'm sure it can handle it. Will I see a substantial increase in my power bill?

Heat may be an issue

How is that a downgrade? He hasn't bought a second 570 yet. The new 670 is a powerful card by itself, it SMOKES a 570 AND a 580, which is crazy.

The power could add up depending on the amount of use. The 670 is more efficient and requires less full load power. A 1050w psu is adequate for sli, they will run hot though, I mount an extra fan to move the air in or away.

 i run X2 GTX 570 in SLI on my 850Watt PSU no issues whatsoever.nVidia itself recommend 500W for a single 670. Add 170W for SLI & recommended is 670W.

For testing conducted for SLI 670, the resulting system consumption for SLI is 433W of which 293W are attributed to the gpu cards.

All points out to 750W being more than enough. And a good 1050W PSU being overkill it wouldn't run hot at all

You will want two 690s for that just sayin, if you meant maxed out graphically I mean :p

A single 670 can run everything at 60fps w/ a couple of settings lowered on some epic games. Two 670s is smooth sailing :)
