I'm going to be building my first gaming system and i'm looking for a little advice!

I have read that, that MOBO can be iffy if true and same priced options?

I do not need a HDD right now and I have Windows 7 ultimate x64.

Are there any options that might be better while staying around this price range?

I think I should get an after market CPU cooler. Anything low priced that can handle some overclocking?

Also what would you guys recommend for a monitor? I have http://www.staples.com/Acer-P236H-BD-23-Widescreen-LCD-Monitor/product_902243

I care about picture quality since i'm not big in to FPS.
