~$500 HTPC and general use pc (Australia)

Hi, im building a new PC that will be used for general computing and home theatre. My bugdet is ~$500
Ive already come up with a list of parts that i think would handle it and then some. I would also like any reccomend parts to be mini-ITX capable. I know this also means i can not overclock.
My preffered parts dealer is called pccasegear and my parts links will come from there

APU-AMD A8 3870K: its the only type available (no cheaper "locked" version available)

Motherboard-AsRock A75M mini ITX motherboard: any reccomendations?

Case+PSU-Thermaltake element Q mini ITX case: cheap, comes with a PSU that seems adequate. (do i need more power?)

OS-MS Windows 7 home premium: need i say anything more?

RAM-G.Skill ares 8 GB set: more than ill ever need, and its only $25 extra

Hard drive-Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 7200 RPM hard drive: love a solid state, but just not doable on this bugdet and maintain decent specs everywhere else.

What do you think? Any reccomendations?

the case and psu aren't that good. 200w is barely enough to power the system ~150w loaded. the psu would be running at 75% and most of that on the weak 12v rail. also for your power bill's sake I would get a 80+ rated PSU.
I am not saying it won't work, I'm saying I wouldn't build it using that CASE/PSU combo.

  3. Thanks, this is my first "small build". Is there anything else i should look out for, or will it come together like a bigger PC? (plugs, size?)

wire ties and lots of patience getting everything to fit without looking like a rat's nest :)
