Graphics Question/Problem

Hi, so I recently purchased an OC edition Sapphire 6950 for my Dell XPS 9100, and I have few questions.

Last night while playing BF3, it spontaneously started making horizontal wavelike things on the screen.

A few minutes ago I was running Minecraft with the amazing shaders mod, and the screen essentialy split in half and swapped sides, like this:

Restarting the computer fixed the problem both times.
The GPU runs at ~ 40-50 C with a few normal applications open, but it can rise to ~ 60+ C when running Minecraft with shaders or BF3.

Should I be worried about this, and is there a solution for this?

What type of Power Supply do you run in that computer? If it's the stock Dell one there is a chance it is not powerful enough. We need more info on that power supply.

I believe that it is a 525W PSU.

Hmm, that shouldnt be a problem. What type of card was in there before? Did you do a complete driver wipe? Try updating to the latest drivers from AMD.com

I used to have a 5700 series card, and I looked for the old driver after I put the new one in and failed to find it, so I just installed the latest CCC off of the CD that came with the 6950. I will attempt to check for updates.

Ok, turns out I have AMD Catalysis version 12.1, I just started the download for 12.6, the current version.

Yeah do that and get back to me. Make sure when you open the new drivers you select the option to uninstall the old drivers. This will make for a clean install and less problems.
