Hybrid crossfire A8+6670 help!

i have a pc with: mobo:F1A75-M cpu a8 3850(integrated) +hd 6670
am trying to figure out how to use hybrid crossfire..on catalyst there isnt the tab for crossfire(and thats the main problem),
i enabled on efi/bios on advance tab the igfx for dual graphics..but still nothing, also when u enable that, the 2nd option is suposed not to be highlighted like ive seen on a video,,is the option after the 1st(igfx dual graphics) that u can choose integrated or pci card..anyway i choosed pci card

ive seen on youtube people run that exact combo but they dont explain how they done it

i downloaded latest drivers and application profile...but still nothing

cmon guys i need your help..i builded this cheap pc 2 days ago with the hope i could merge integrated and HD, but it seems am facing a big problem...

thanks

  1. just to be sure you did this right:

Q3: I just bought an AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 Series graphics card. How do I configure my PC to take advantage of AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics?

A3: To take advantage of AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics, you must use a compatible AMD A-Series APU to pair with your supported AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 Series card. After installation of your graphics card, install the latest AMD graphics drivers. After driver installation, the option to enable AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics should become available in the AMD VISION Engine Control Center.

Once installed, go into the “Performance” section of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center and check the box that says 'Enable Crossfire™' - this will allow the AMD A-Series APU graphics to work in tandem with the select AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 Series GPU installed for increased graphics performance.
  2. yes i did all this and nothing..and tehre are other people on youtube withmy exact build and use crossfire..and i cant..i dont see the option crossfire on catalyst
  3. ok but then what? it will just use the integrated gpu..i tried it..it doesnt open the tab "crossfire"in catalyst
  4. http://www.amd.com/us/products/technologies/dual-graphics/pages/dual-graphics.aspx

I assume you have Vista or Windows 7 (it doesnt't work on XP).

Also, the FAQ recommends plugging into the discrete graphics card, NOT the motherboard.
  5. ok i will try..wish me luck;p
  6. nop it didnt worked...i need someone with that exact same build pls who has achieved hybrid crossfire
  7. 2 different opinions on how to do it posted. the video says to hook up to card after installing it, going into BIOS, making changes and then hooking to on board. poster above writes something different. it has to be user error. keep trying.
  8. i still cant find any solution to this problem
  9. I have 2 Sapphire 5850's in Xfire mode. One is an O.C. model. The other isn't. Just swapping these 2 cards between PCIe slots threw the P.C. for a loop. I had to re-download drivers just for swapping slots. My MoBo has ATI On-Board Graphics, NOT ON CPU. I don't use it....duh....I suggest you make sure MoBo has latest BIOS. It's on the ASUS web site. I don't understand why people are calling this Xfire, what you're trying to do is Hybrid and I'm not so sure it's supposed to be listed as Xfire.
Have you gone into your device manager and checked to see if both GPU's are listed and working properly ? Good Luck

when you fist install your os and drivers, you need to run the m/b disk to load the software to get the 6550d to work, it will install ccc and the appropriate run time files. .net 3.0 or 4.0 is needed

after your 6550d is running if you try to install the discrete card using the disk that came with the 6670, it will install another copy of ccc and screw it up.

I had this problem before and solved it by reformatting the the hard drive and starting fresh.

What brand of 6670 are you using ?

u mean u have a8 3850+6670 combo and u manage to make it work by refformatting? if so..in what order u did it?
  11. you don't need to reformat. you have all the information here to figure out what is wrong. you just need to apply it. the thing with the drivers off the disc that came with your computer...... did you install those ?

trust me ive tried everything...right now i have the latest amd catalyst drivers 12.6 for 6xxx series..i have installed application profiles......and no matter what i do i dont see the crossfire option in the catalyst=ccc

i formated this morning....i baught this new pc....i did what u said in the guide
btw 5) boot pc found new hardware will pop up and installe 6670 drivers(drivers are installed with ccc..it doesnt do anything new when i put the 6670)

my monitor has vga but i use an adaptor vga to dvi to plug in the graphics card
  14. tourist said:
Ok i was just curious about what port you were using. VGA is perfect

You mean when you installed the 6670, no pop up saying new hardware found ?

What does it say in device manager under display adapters ?

when i cleaned everything..removed hd6670...botted on integrated>installed ccc>rebooted added hd6670..it didnt pop up any message i think..anyway when i first installl ccc it has already the drivers..maybe it pop up a mesage i dont know

btw what sweeper u use give me a link pls?cause i didnt use sweeper but i think i pretty much uninstalled everything

  19. the netframework will show up at windows update. been there lately ?
  20. well ive tried everything...and on 5) boot pc found new hardware will pop up and installe 6670 drivers ..it diddnt appear anything in the corner..

    in conclusion...balls......ive done everything..and still..am very dissapointed..
  21. did you go to windows update ?............ and did you look in the device manager to see if anything needed updating or driver installation ? and did you go to AMD's site for drivers ? and did you install drivers off the motherboard disc ?

  24. do the windows update stuff for sure. the "not important" stuff on the disc may be important. you're a newb.

to the device manager: start/mycomputer..... right click on mycomputer/properties/hardware/device manager. see if there's anything with a yellow sticker or question mark.
  25. and also......... swap the video card to the other pci-e slot.

only a few usb slots have yellow mark, i dont have other pci slot..there is only 1 in my mobo f1a75-m
  27. i switched it on onboard but nothing..i will do the rest of the updates..i be here 10:40am my time maybe 11:00 at the most

ok you need to install teamviewer again and send me id/pass

    ok just a sec
  33. try installing the driver off the disc. it's for the motherboard, no ? might be your problem right there. make sure monitor is plugged into the onboard not the card.

why are you trusting a complete stranger with that private message crap and team viewer stuff. if anybody can help you it can be done overtly. something stinks, don't fall for it. keep your private information private.
  34. tourist said:
    alejandro333. please try this test.

Plug in monitor to 6670 boot pc and go into vcc , and look under hardware information to see if the 6670 is now enabled, then scroll up and see if the 6550d is disabled. If it is the problem is in the bios settings.

have we done this many times?>
  35. or do i do this while in bios i have choosed integrated?
  36. tourist said:
while it is integrated in bois, i think we tried it while it is set to pci

in bios ive choosed integrated...but i plug to graphics 6670....and when i check the ccc> 6670 is enabled and integrated is disabled.....i didnt had image only till windows appear
  37. so what u think?
  38. tourist said:
So now it is reversed from what it was earlier, the problem is in the bios setting. Try what this guy did

  43. I had run into similar trouble setting up the hybrid crossfire A8+6670 where keep seeing HD7560D having resource conflict (error 12) in device manager in Windows 8. Managed to solve this conflict by having onboard graphics as primary video device in BIOS setting. I believe this is due to GA-F2A85XM-D3H issue and the downside is i can't see my BIOS screen except connect the monitor cable to motherboard.

By hooking the hdmi + DVI cable to 6670, do see the performance improvement but not the other way round.
