Please help me decide which motherboard I should get or what things I should change.

But, I have read that the Asus motherboards are not that great, but I do not seem to understand. why?
And going through forums, there are many other motherboards to choose from for gaming. Do you have any other suggestions then what I have listed?

And why the Asus?
