Hey bud...I am origonally from Sheboygan :) anyway wanted to say thanks. I was looking for an intel board that can dual x16 GPUs. Also you can check out pcpartspicker.com they show only compatible devices unless you select otherwise. Here are my questions/suggestions for you.

1. I would go with the i7-2600 unless you are encoding video where the other cores would come in handy.
2. Unless you are going to use over 2 Vid cards I would go with the Asus or if there is a different brand.
3. The video card I would go with are Radeon 7870s check out the benchmarks on anandtech.com at higher resolutions the Radeons are doing a bit better than the Nvidea 660s.
4. Someone posted they are using a corsair ax850 to SLI 680 boards. ($180)
5. If you are spending the money you are going to want an SSD corsair is selling a 90 GB for 109 on newegg.com
6. Case is your preference most are about $120
Cost at this point: $1,771

This EVGA backplate down below fits right onto the back of that Gigabyte GTX 670 I posted up above. Make sure to use the screws that come with the Gigabyte card and not with the backplate.

Just as fast cpu wise in regards to gaming, better case, 256GB SSD, and that Gigabyte card is not only factory over clocked but it runs cooler.

Thanks for your response. I took alot of what you said and made changes to my current build. Some of what you said wouldnt be compatible with my choices so i made to as close as possible to what you recommended

I would nix that Corsair 800w psu. It's an old school CWT manufactured psu (Corsair doesn't manufacture it's own psu's) and it's not one to be recommended on here. Look at either one of these down below.

For a modular 850w have a look at his Seasonic.

http://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-M12II-850-BRONZE-Power-Supply/dp/B00607JNIM/ref=sr_1_17?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1345582173&sr=1-17 $139.99 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping
Seasonic M12II-850 BRONZE ATX 850 Power Supply

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151108&Tpk=Seasonic%20M12II-850 <----- Same psu on Newegg

or for a non modular 850w psu look at this XFX manufactured by Seasonic for XFX.

http://www.amazon.com/XFX-PRO850W-Supply-Certified-P1850SNLB9/dp/B0045L4BNW/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1345582236&sr=1-2 $109.99 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping | Price after rebate: $84.99
XFX PRO850W Core Edition Power Supply ATX 850 Energy Star Certified Power Supply P1850SNLB9

And here's a few reviews to have a look at. Keep in mind a 750w psu will push dual 670's in SLI and leave you plenty of headroom for over clocking, extra drives, fans, etc.. Any of of these cards down below will go head to head with the GTX 680.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_670_Power_Edition/ <----- review w/benchmarks of the MSI Power Edition GTX 670 which retails for $430 + free shipping on Amazon. You might find it cheaper at Superbiiz.com or maybe Newegg. Three good sites to check.

http://www.amazon.com/MSI-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-N670-2GD5/dp/B008BGXYAS/ref=sr_1_16?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1345583152&sr=1-16&keywords=gtx+670 <--- that's it on amazon

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Gigabyte/GeForce_GTX_670_Windforce/ <----- review w/benchmarks of the Gigabyte GTX 670

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_670_Direct_Cu_II/ <----- review w/benchmarks of the Asus GTX 670

Here's a cpu cooler to have a look at. Cooler Master also sells the extra fan to add to this cooler if you want a "push - pull effect" to bring cpu temps down even lower.

http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Heatsink-Technology-RR-T812-24PK-R1/dp/B007WPHXIS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345582299&sr=8-1&keywords=cooler+master+tpc+812 $69.21 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping
Cooler Master TPC 812 CPU Heatsink Cooling Pad with Vapor Chamber Technology (RR-T812-24PK-R1)

http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2654 <----- review of that CM cpu h/s @ Frosty Tech

http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm <----- that same CM cpu h/s on Frosty Tech's Top 5 list

Then with the $$$ saved your looking at stepping into a nice 240GB - 256GB SSD. (Sandisk - Samsung @ Amazon & Newegg for killer deals). Those SSD's just don't help you cut down your time on loading up your OS, the help a lot when you play games that load up levels (maps). Peeps using an SSD for say... BF3 for example are running around in the map while most peeps are still waiting to dl the map and come in. 120GB - 128GB SSD is nice, but they fill up quicker than you think. For under $200 you can size up.
