Corsair cx600 powers on but for 1second

I have connected all the cables properly and I am totally sure that I have my front panel connected properly with my mobo(p5g41t - mlx) ad the led panel lights on but till 1-2sec.
Now my question is that is corsair cx600 much more for Asus p5g41t - mlx.
My system specs...
Corsair cx600 smps
Asus p5g41t - mlx mobo
4gb ram ddr3
2gb ram ddr3
1 sata hdd of 250gb
2disk drive one dvd and one cd
Intel Core 2 duo processor

Should I go for 550watt by replacing his psu?
Help me plz I am fed up with this kind of techno mess in my house...... ;-)
