Cpu at 10 Degrees??

Is this possible? My room is at 65 degrees Farenheit. HW Monitor is reading my cpu idle temp at 10 degrees Celsius(50 Degrees Farenheit)
The cpu is an FX 6300, cooler is hyper 212 evo, and case is NZXT Phantom.
Can my cpu really be running this cool? So far minimum is 9 degrees and max is 27 degrees after one hour of use installing applications and little things like that. I havent stress tested it yet.

More about degrees
  1. It's either the program or tempreature sensor, i don't think a CPU can run under the room temp. :)
  2. No not possible since colder than ambient only happens with refrigeration. Can you set offset in HW M like in core temp that I use?
  3. the FX series is known for this issue and Idle temps.
I fell victim to it when i had AMD in my machine.
  4. Ive been running prime95 for ten minutes. I cant get it to get any hotter than 30 degrees Celsius...

  5. Ive been using core temp and HW monitor. Max reading is 32 now. Might have to run her up to 5ghz and see what she does there.
  6. Best answer
Set offset in core temp according to BIOS on startup. BIOS 30°C Core Temp at 10°C at start up, set offset to +20°C

Ill give that a shot. Im used to working with i7 processors, but decided to play the underdog on this build. Thanks.
