How do i know if a video card is compatible with my motherboard

Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron N5030 and i need a Nvidia Geforce 8600GT to run ARMA II but im not sure if its compatible with my computer and im not about to waste 70 bucks on it to find out it doesnt work.

you cant put a desktop card in a laptop, and laptops generally arent upgradeable as far as graphics

Like the other two guys said before, it is not compatible. You will either have to buy a laptop with a dedicated graphics card or buy a desktop. If you buy a desktop, I would recommend looking at Tom's "Best Graphics cards June 2012" to find the best budget graphics card for your needs (ARMA II).
