I installed an AMD phenom x4 9750 95w processor into my HP Pavilion p6203w - Sys Board M2n68-La narra5. These two are compatible, already checked with HP and AMD.

My question to you all is this. It seems to have a cooling problem. I used the stock fan from the HP pavilion to cool the phenom x4 and thermal paste. I notice the fan is a bit louder than normal. I played BC2 for about twenty min and the fan went into super overdrive. Thought a jet was taking off in my living room. OMG!!! LOL. I didn't know it could get that loud. So do I need to get the proper fan for the AMD Phenom x4? Will this solve the issue, or do I need to just return the CPU?

Thanks for any input,

Christyna

I tried finding the temps, but amd catalyst seems to have removed that feature. All I could find is that the CPU usage was running from 60% to 90%. Not so sure that is normal either.

Does it matter if my phenom is 95 or 125watts The one I have is 95watts will the fan still work with it being for a 125watt cpu.
