Upgrading cpu?

i have a amd Athlon 2 x2(dual core) at 2.7 and a gtx 460 i can run most games at max or at least close but i have noticed on newer games my gpu never goes over like 60-70& load im guessing that's my cpu bottle-necking also have 8gb of ram would moving to a amd quad core at 3.0gh be a huge improvement or tiny

Don't move to an AMD if you want your system for gaming. Get the i5 3570K , that'll be a huge improvement.
