A compromise

OK, so I'm building a new rig soon, and I have just one question.

I have the choice between a Phenom II x4/x6 & 7850 2GB and a 3570K & 6870. I'm getting from Microcenter, and the Phenom II x4 with mobo is about $100 cheaper. I'm really unsure. Better to compromise in the GPU department or CPU? I will play Skyrim, BF3, Crysis 2, Nexuiz, CS:GO, Dota 2, Darksiders II, etc.

I'd go with the Phenom. GPU is the most important part in a gaming build, and out of those two options, the 7850+Phenom will game the best.

Come on bud, you know this one. I've said it how many times? I'm sure way too many, a stronger CPU can never make a weaker video card perform better. I'd go with an x4, unless you can find a Black Edition Thuban (1075T and up), thats pretty much not happening though.

Great answers. I'd go with the 3570K and 7850, but I'm on a budget, so it's not happening.
