Time for a new system.

Newegg Wish List

I won't budge on the GPU or CPU.
Open to suggestions on other parts in terms of better compatibility, lower price with out losing too much.

I also need to know exactly what else i'd need, i have no idea what im looking at when it comes to things like heatsinks, fans, etc. I just understand core components. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to have the maximum number of fans this (or other) case can hold.
I'd like to hold on to the 8GB of RAM as well.

More about time system
  1. Get a Cooler Master Evo cooler for your CPU :)

Everything else looks good. I would look for a better case though. If you want cheap priced but cool looking ones lean towards Sentey Cases.

I would suggest a better tower, but the price would only increase then.
  3. You realize that the 3770k is overkill?

Unless you are video editing, there is no reason for more than an i5. I don't think you are since you only have 8GB of RAM.
Save yourself $100 on the CPU and upgrade to the GTX670.

Unless you have an extensive and very expensive surround sound system, there is no reason for a sound card. Drop that and invest into a better case.

Downgrade the motherboard to an AsRock Z77 Extreme4. It has all the features you need at a much better price point. Get an SSD with the cash saved.

And an aftermarket cooler if you want to OC. The 212 EVO recommended will be good for medium overclocks.
  4. I would hold off on the sound card until you hear the on board sound first. Unless your a hard core audiophile chances are the on board sound will do you just fine. This build allows you to add another one of those MSI GTX 660 ti's later on in SLI.
