Hi all and thanks for reading this thread =)

Basically I have just upgraded my system and I notice that in graphically intense games that the system runs sluggish. Now I know what your thinking! "silly boy's got a crappy graphics card" but you will see form the specs below that it really is quite good and should not run dodgy on the games it does.

My specs are as follows;

Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Black FT Gaming Case + USB3.0
Modular 850W Quiet 80+ Dual Rail High Efficiency Power Supply
ASUS® P9X79 LE, Intel® X79 Socket 2011 Mainboard
Intel® Core™ i7 3930K Enthusiast Unlocked,S2011 (6xCore, 12M Cache, 3.20 GHz)
Corsair H60 High-performance CPU Liquid Cooler
16GB DDR3 1600MHz (4x4GB) Memory Kit - CRUCIAL Ballistix
2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 680 - 1536 Cores,2 DVI,HDMI,DP - 3D Vision Ready
120GB Solid-State-Drive, SATA III SSD, Read 525MB/s, Write 500MB/s
2TB SATA III 6Gb/s, 7200rpm, 64MB Cache, 8ms Hard Drive
Blu-Ray Re-Writer Super Format (10x BD-R Writer 16x DVD Writer)
7.1 High Definition on-board sound card - for 8 Channel Cinema sound

My PSU details are here

Does anyone think that my power supply could be bottlenecking the system performance?

Thanks again for your time.

Anyone with more knowledge feel free to help :)  Im pretty new to this but not noobish judging on the link to the psu i would invest in another one maybe like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... if you notice the corsair does +12v@70a and the other one is only doing +12v@34a.

The specs on that unit should easily power your system.

should have gotten a 670 and better PSU. never heard of that brand usually means its not in the states or that its bad

you shouldnt be running anything slow. the psu wont affect performance anyways. what games are you playing and what settings are you play at. if you turned up AA, its going to make things slow

WOW! thanks for all the really quick repsonses.

I guess it must be the AA as I do like to put everything up to full.

I am currently playing max payne (8xmsaa jerks) and sleeping dogs (with the extra HD textures download) also had to turn aa down.

I just thought that my machine would run anything but I am naive I guess.

Thanks again to you all! you are the best =)

well duh. you should be playing it with 4x msaa. if there is txaa, you might want to use that since it has better image quality but less of a performance hit. you can keep the textures though
