Hi All and Thanks in advance to any and all suggestions for my woes. I am looking for a case for a computer being custom built for me...my requirements are that it be solid built, less then 16 inches tall, well ventilated, have at least 1 usb 2 port in front and 2 in the back....at least 2 esata ports ...one in front is a plus... as for usb 3 a couple in back is fine one in front also a plus. I could live with a 17 inch tall case but there then could be no fan in the top back of tower. This case must also hold a nvidia evga660ti card 2 optical drives and two hdd...see complete speck of build below for a more detailed description. Only after said builder collected all the parts and cashed my check did they inform me the case they recommended would not hold 2 opticals. If my only option is an external enclosure ...how about a recommendation for a good one of these??? Please help me out I can only find like two options and both lack cooling!!!
Thanks Again

Good Point o1die ....cannot post pic at this time but will try to describe...the desk has a hutch on top. The side walls of the hutch are approx ten inches from the back of the desk. The computer tower would have the entire left side open for ventilation, 2/3 of the right side would be open to ventilation (approx 6 inches of the right back side would be blocked by side wall of hutch)
The top of the computer tower is open as well except for like the back 6 inches of the tower which must sit back under the hutch storage shelf. The very back of the tower and the entire back sits like four inches from the back wall of the hutch....guess I consider the back would be exhaust fans blowing out of the case so this would be a non issue...hope this helps...and thanks for thinking of this

The NZXT Gamma Classic. I keep recommending this case to everyone, but I think it would work good for you. x2 USB 2.0 in the front with an ESATA port in front aswell, 17 inches tall, 6 fan spots, it will also hold 2 HHDs and Optical drives. Not sure what you mean USB ports in the back, thats the motherboard. The case is about $35 on Newegg. :)

Thanks Lolzer for the suggestion... but alas this case will not work for me...my maximum height allowable is 17.5 inches and the specs on this case say it is 17.68.... and i probably should leave a little wiggle room...thats why i first stated 16 inches....maybe 17....and thanks for confirming what i suspected ,that the rear ports were the mobo...but hey thats why i got someone else building it
....ha ha
