TEAC 516EB

Hmmm... I just build up my new computer.
I got a Teac 516EB, it does work, no software rogonize it and worst, whenever I put a CD in, it cant read it!!!!

BIOS see the drive so are Windows 98SE and 2k

Whats wrong about my drive?

Tried all the IDE Channels, slave, master, PIO4, DMA and nothing works! My DVD pionneer 16 works perfectly and real fast.

Have you updated to the latest firmware?
If that doesn't help, I bet your drive is defected.

I use Nero 5535 and CDRWin 4.0A...They both picked up my TEAC 516EB...so you can give it a try!
