Okay, so here's my problem.
I went to tech powerup today, and downloaded there RBE program and ati winflash. I then from there went to download a new bios for it - powercolor 6870 bios. After which i began to program the bios in. I restarted, and then - black screen. I then thought to my self. "Hey, no problem, i got an integrated gpu", (Which i also saved the old bios). Still nothing, black screen and all. I figured out though, that if i unplug my 6850's power cable that it will work, (the integrated graphics). But now i can't upload the old bios because it can't read the card.

Please help!!! :(

Oh yeah, and here's a pic of my main gpu selection in the bios for the mobo.

Well, I did read up on flashing a 6850 to 6870. But, I see no point in it. I think overclocking would fare much better.

In your case, try a different PCI-E slot and see if it recognize it from there.

Ok first what you did was incorrect. The correct way is to copy you card's bios, modify the copy and then flash back that copy as the new bios. That said another issue may be that on newer editions of the 6850, the additional shadders are physical disabled and can not be used by any modding. I have unlocked several cards in the past and have some experience here. If the card is bricked you are out of luck as you can not force the bios back. I assume this is not a duel bios version either. You may be able to get winflash to detect if you use another discreet card. I have read of some cases where the on board graphics did not work but with another card in a slot the first card was detected. GL

All right, so i did what you said to do, which was to use another card as the main and to use the 6850 as the discreet.
Still nothing, it still says even though i put it in a different computer that it "can't find discreet card."
Well, i guess i'm going to be looking at upgrading.
Maybe the 7870 will be good :p
