I have an HP dv6000 that I've acquired. It powers up normally, all the lights come on, makes all of the appropriate sounds and whistles and what not. The monitor is a bit shotty though. It doesn't light up like a monitor normally does; it's very very dim.
I assumed at first that it was a bad inverter, so I ordered a new one, replaced it, and the same issue. So, I took it a step further and ordered a new monitor; again, it's still dark. I can still see items on the monitor, but it's virtually black and useless.
Now that I've wasted a good chunk of change on this, I want to ask to see if anyone has any good advice for me on what my next step should be. I've checked the inverter board with a known good board and it still doesn't work.
Help me please! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
