Thanks for the reply.
However, a few items.
The computer in question is indeed a desktop system, not a laptop. I
found the same thing looking this card up at ATI's site, they only
mention it in the laptop range.
Here's the listing from Dell, if that helps;

It's the default video card entry. Overall, the PC is alot like mine,
just 1GB RAM and MS Office for Excel, Word and Outlook Express.
As for patching, what I'm not currently patching are Windows Updates.
I do have McAfee Firewall installed (and updated always), as well as
their virus protection (ditto to update) and XP Pro firewall. And for
browsing, I am using Mozilla 1.0.6 -- the only MS online product I am
using is Outlook Express for email and newsgroups. I avoid IE except
for picture viewing (from my own files, not online ones).
