Hey guys!

I am torn on which monitor I should choose to fit all of my gaming needs! I play games 90% of the time I use my computer, so I need it to be pretty fast and look pretty good. I will be plugging a game console into the monitor that I decide on so it must have at least one HDMI port.

The monitors I have been looking at are:

BenQ XL2420T: http://www.benq.ca/product/monitor/xl2420t

ASUS VH238H: http://ca.asus.com/en/Display/LCD_Monitors/VH238H/#over...

Dell S2340L: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c...

These are just a few that I like. Feel free to leave other suggestions below!

My real question is... What response times are good for gaming monitors? I play games every day and am pretty competitive about them. But is 2ms response time really needed? If it is then I cannot buy the Dell.

Please leave which monitor you think would be best for me down below and include what you think about response times and if you have any other suggestions for monitors.

Thanks!

Brand/warranty/customer servive matter if you get a bad one.

I would go with Dell, LG or Samsung myself. Lots of people here like Asus too.

+1 to that. You absolutely do not need 2ms (or 1ms!) - it's pure gimmick. Dell U2312(H/M) is an excellent option also. You definitely want to grab an IPS-panel display for colour quality/accuracy though.

5ms is good. I don't think you absolutely need 1-2ms for gaming
