i5-3750k (Hyper 212 oc to mid 4ghz)
Gigabyte z77X-UD3H
MSI Power Edition GTX 670 (can be oc to above 1400mhz, but oviously set lower for normal use)

Samsung 30mm low voltage 8GB RAM
1TB WD Black
850w Corsair Bronze
NZXT Phantom

I know my power supply is overkill, but I've heard it could be future-proof for future builds. But I was expecting to SLI in the future, but that TX850 is only 125$, for bronze and 850w is a pretty good deal. the TX750w is not bronze, and is 15$ cheaper.

Thanks.

Ive heard oc the CPU can eat up alot of power, and my friend who has build many many builds says 800-850, or maybe 750 but that its better to be safe and not worry.

He hasnt told me about if I need extra power for the gpu but the MSI card says it supports triple overvoltage, which i think it means you can change the voltage. Ive heard that 670's only go to 1150mhz stock voltage, so Im assuming Il be eating up some power there, and for an SLI in the future.

Please correct me if Im wrong... I dont know if my assumptions are right.

Hypothetical, i oc my GPU to 1400mhz, and CPU to 4.8ghz,
will it be fine on 750w.
BTW i didnt mean it was a good deal for the psu, i meant wouldnt it be better to pay 15$ more for 850w than to worry? Its not like paying 100$ more for a overkill CPU.

Also, some website told me I needed <600w for SLI and oc cpu, and another told me 768w ... sooo ? wondering why that much on the second one with only 2HDD and rest very minimal on SLI

It's good. I don't know much about Samsung RAM, so I would rather choose well-known brands for RAM such as Corsair or G.SKILL. Note that G.Skill also provides lifetime warranty on their RAM. If you have around $60 extra, I would also get an SSD because it makes booting and loading apps and games so much faster. Other than that, just make sure your RAM runs at 1.5V or below, and be sure that your PSU has the correct types of connectors for your GPU and motherboard(which it should).

Samsung Ram has a behind the scenes ability to overclock very well compared to competitors

But I don't know if he wants to attempt overclocking above 1866 MHz. Any higher than 1.5V will risk damaging the internal memory controller. Correct me if I'm wrong, but 2133 MHz requires at least 1.55-1.6V to be stable.

Ive heard of people being able to oc to 2133 mhz at very stable. But Ive also heard there is minimal preformance benifits of 2133 vs 1600.

Ive heard quite a few people who switched from the Vengence series to the Samsung one, and they like it more.

so ^^ whats the benifit, and how much better is the corsair dominator platinum, hypothetically if I were to get it.
