Hello everybody, I'm attempting to put together a decent gaming computer for around $1000. This will be my first custom built computer and as such I would like to make sure all the parts I have picked out thus far will work together in perfect harmony I would also appreciate any suggestions as to recommended alternatives assuming they keep me in my price range ($800-$1200).
Also worth noting, I do prefer Intel and Nvidia and not terribly interested in overclocking (at least right now).
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz ($214.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Biostar TZ77B LGA 1155 ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB ($319.99 @ Newegg)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 ($38.99 @ Newegg)
SSD (for OS): Crucial M4 64GB ($72.99 @ Newegg)
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200RPM ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M700 700W ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 922 ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: LG Super-Multi GH22NP20 taken from previous computer
Rough total estimate (after bundles and rebates): $949
Like I said, it's my first build and haven't done an absurd amount of research so any major flaws or oversights of obviously better parts for the same price I would love to have brought to my attention
