Hi guys,

I just upgraded from a radeon XFX 1gb HD5770 to a Sapphire 2GB OC HD7870 because i have low fps issues.
Before the change i was running SWTOR and TSW (mmo's) on medium settings at 1900 x 1200 and getting a framerate of around 10-20fps in pvp battle and 30-40fps when in solo instances.

With the 7870 im not seeing any huge differences in framerate (maybe 5fps increase in both situations) even with the settings in-game from medium to ultra, doesnt seem to make a noticable change.

All drivers are up to date.

I feel that my mobo and my cpu might be the cause of this as i am running a Phenom II x810 cpu, and a ma790gpt-ud3h mobo

Other pc components:
Ram, Ripjaws 2x4GB 1600 F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL
Power supply is a Ritmo force 1500
HDD with games installed, Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 360GB
OS HDD, Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 200GBB
Running Win 7 Ultimate x64

Any suggestions or help would be extremely appreciated. :)

check that your bios is up to date first..then update your mb drivers...amd chipset drivers and the realteck lan drivers.
if the fps does not change.. download drive sweeper and boot into safe mode and remove the amd drivers and reboot then install the newest ones from amd.

thanks for your reply,

bios and drivers are up to date, did as you said and removed amd drivers in safe mode with driver sweeper. reinstalled newest amd drivers, still no change in frames per second :(
