Well, there isn't to much to add to this other than the fact I'm on several restraints. Power, heat, and budget. Power because all of my money is going towards a card and the PSU is a gift, heat because the case is just a Dell Inspiron 560, and budget for the same reason as the first. I was looking towards the 470 and 7770 more due to the cost (I can get either @ $120-$140 before rebates). Specs are below.

Dell Inspiron 560
Penitum Dual Core E5800 @3.2GHz
Either 3 or 6 GB of RAM depending on surplus money
PSU will end up being 500W (Corsair X something or other)
Stock MOBO
Monitor is at 1600x900
Games: BF3 Low to Medium, Skyrim Medium to High, Portal 2 (and other Valve games) MAXED, and maybe even Dirt 3 if I get a Radeon.

If there's anything you want to ask or answer, please do! My buy date is early next week.

If you have any say in the power supply, the Corsair CX500 is a very good power supply.

The 470 is the fastest of those cards, but I would get the 6850 if I were you. It performs about the same as the 7770, but it comes with Dirt 3 instead of Dirt Showdown, which kinda really sucks.

If you could find a 470 for around this price, it might actually be a good deal though, but the GTX 400 series of cards ran pretty hot, and I'm not sure of the ventilation deal of the Dell cases.

the 470 is way too hot. way too old. although it will be a better performer ( BUT YOU ARE GAMING AT A VERY LOW RES ) so it won't matter.

the 6850 is a little bit faster than the 7770 in most benchmarks and a few FPS faster in a few benchmarks...( AT 19x12 RESOLUTION ) ......

the 7770 would probably be the best option under the circumstances............... should run cooler and performance won't really be hit too much to matter.
