Should I get the i5 LGA 1155 or wait for the haswell 1150

Every precious second you waste on waiting you could be doing some sweet gaming, think about that when you want to be waiting for next gen series another time.

what is your major workload ?

Gaming : No reason to wait for Haswell. IB will perform the same as Haswell

Office work : You dont even need a IB. Buy a core2duo :p

Video conversion/rendering : Yes. But there is no fixed date when Haswell will release.

Depends on your situation.

What do you have now ? is it struggling ? will a 1155 upgrade really be worth the cash ? what kind of performance increase will 1155 give you and is it enough ?

There are and will for a long time be no games that a 1150 i5 CPU will be able to play that a 1155 cant.

I am using an amd phenom x2 with a radeon 6850 OC @820MHZ and I want to upgrade my cpu to get better performance in gaming as I feel the phenom x2 is bottlenecking the 6850
I only use my computer for gaming actually I want to play Crysis 3 ,call of duty 2 and medal of honor warfighter so I want to upgrade to a quad core cpu

do u think the extreme 4 would be better than the ud3h?

there is a close stores that sell all these compenents ,there is no need to get it from a website

You could save a lot by choosing a B75 MOBO and an i5-3570 (non-k version). If you did that, then you would have about 300$ or more left to buy a new GPU for. If you sold your old GPU you could afford a GTX 670 or a Radeon 7970! Also just might add another stick of RAM.

Don't be afraid that you can't overclock. Overclocking is mostly only for bragging, and doesn't add up performance as much as you would think. A lot of people buys expensive z77 MOBOS and unlocked CPUs and never overclock the CPU.
