Fishing from skill level 225 to skill level 300 using Big Iron Fishing Pole
in Feralas

What I caught :
64x Zesty Clam Meat (from Big-Mouth Clam)
218x Raw Spotted Yellowtail
2x 40lb Grouper
72x Stonescale Eel
56x Raw Glossy Mightfish
57x Firefin Snapper
4x Iridescent Pearl (from Big-Mouth Clam)
2x Black Pearl (from Big-Mouth Clam)
1x Inlaid Mithril Cylinder (from 'venture co. mining supplies' box)
1x Solid Blasting Powder (from 'venture co. mining supplies' box)
74x Raw Rockscale Cod
65x Raw Summer Bass
2x Ironbound Locked Chest
= 618 Catches

Suprisingly I didn't lose one fish, except when I didnt have a lure on about
2 times and didn't realise it, I decided to keep using them so I could
estimate how long I had been fishing for.

Used : 5x Aquadynamic Fish Attractors, 2x Bright Baubles and 19x
Nightcrawlers
Time Taken : approx 220 mins
Times called 'your crazy' about 5

I got 2 Stonescale Eel then a Summer Bass then another Stonescale in a row,
before that I had got 2 Stonescale in a row. May have beat that record
whilst I wasnt paying attention though.

I think the boxes I fished were called venture co. mining supplies but can't
seem to find them on thottbot.

Oh and the skill up time seemed to be about the same whatever skill level I
was, about 8-11 fish before a skillup. Typically when I counted them it was
on the 10th fish caught, but Im sure I saw a few lower and higher than than
the 8-11 I quoted.

Will have to try the high level area's next and see what I can catch!

Next I have to get Herbalism again and skill those both up, then the rest of
my weapon skills which are nearly done, but take ages to skill up, unarmed
has been on 299 for ages now! Then I need some better armour + ice barbed
spear and higher pvp rank, then finish getting my epic mount, then get some
more repuatation gains, then god knows what!

They are right clicky and have anything from blasting powder, through
engineering supplies to items. The 'message in a bottle' can have
anything from a scroll to a waterlogged diary page that has no use
[though i think it is a setup for some quest or new area that will open
up in the future as the ones I remember fishing up in astraanar say
stuff about a desert island, and there are 2 major sets of islands
between the 2 continents=)]

By the way, you don't need to be "unarmed" to improve the unarmed
skill. If you can use fist weapons, you can at least do some damage
whilst sparring with the mobs and increasing skill.

as a lvl 290 fishermen i can add:
its not important where u fish. u can lvl as fast in Orgrimmar as u can in
Winterspring... but fishing in winterspring needs lures. so: if on ur server
fish doesnt sell for much money and u dont need the fish itself, u should
fish in a save (and easy) spot like a city.

Got it at 300 now, didn't take long. When ever I've picked up a fist weapon
its always been red, like when you cant use that item, I'm a Paladin.

Those two islands just mark the end of the continent. They aren't really in the
game.

Just too bad for the Horde then, that we can't read any of those diary
pages.

Don't know why not, horde can fish from the shore near auberdine just
like alliance can, you just have to be out of range of guards. I fished
from the shore all the time. IIRC anywhere within the area labled
auberdine as it pops on your minimap should get that loot table for
fishing. There are no guards roaming the beach as far as i know.

And it is auberdine, not astraanar, though horde can fish in astranaar
as well, just from the shoreline out of reach of the astraanar guards,
like along the shore that you can run along to go around astraanar.

I think you misunderstood, it's the language that we don't understand.

I've found several Diary Pages when fishing for Oily Blackmouth in
Ratchet, but I just couldn't read them.

neat - i have never fished any up in steamwheedle port, just in the area
around auberdine when fishing on my NE druid. I thought perhaps they
were a zone specific loot table item.

Anybody seen a diary page in Menethil or Southshore?
