Hello, ive got an MSI GD-45 970A motherboard with a R-6870
recently bought i installed drivers on my linux.. diablo 3 crash with wine..
so i went into windows.. games also crash too
so i went back into linux.. started back programming with openGL.. it didnt crash...also run a stressing node test from the terminal using "atiode -P 120 -H localhost:0; echo $?

didnt crash.. most the games was crashin into 3D rendering and with windows games.. mostly..within 30 seconds... the fact is my geforce 8400GS got no problem at all running the games ive got even windows or linux based..any questions to relate to anwser would be gladefully anwsered.. beside if i need to look on GPU for faulty components
 
It sounds like a hardware problem, possibly an insufficient Power Supply, bad memory (or bad timings).

0) confirm your Power Supply is adequate (a 450Watt, quality PSU is likely adequate)

1) run Memtest (www.memtest.org)

2) update your motherboard to the latest BIOS

3) make sure the motherboard main chipset driver is installed (reinstall if in doubt). Must be for your exact motherboard version AND version of Windows. Get from your motherboard support/download site.

4) Install the other motherboard drivers

5) apply any Microsoft Updates
