Hello everyone. I have a laptop that has the Intel Corei5 3210m paired with Nividia Gt 650m and when I play Arkham City the temps for the cpu get to about 75 C. I know that the max temp for 3210m is 105 C but I was wondering if this temp would in any way damage it. So as my post suggest I was curious if this temp is ok when I run games. Thank you.

No it won't damage it. The processor have a safety switch build in called the Thermaltrip which will automatically shut the processor down before it reaches the point of being damaged and it is even higher than the 105c.

Thanks for the reply. Then what temp would be considered too hot for the cpu?

laptops run very hot, my i5-430m runs at 70-ish idle and when playing flash games can jump to 80-90C, nothing out of the ordinary.

My sister's laptop CPU was running around 90C a few months ago and upon inspection, the HSF fins were packed solid with dust/lint. After clearing the stuff, temperatures dropped back down to a much more satisfying ~70C under load.
