i have a radeon HD 7970 and when i play BF3 i get around 30FPS so i thought hey lets uninstall the drivers to see if there is a difference and it runs way better, around 100FPS+ so my question is it safe to run the card without drivers?

You are probably running at a very low resolution and with all effects turned off without drivers. It's safe, but none of the #D accelerated functions would be working.

If you are getting 30 fps you probably installed your drivers incorrectly.

Download the latest 12.7 beta drivers, they are fantastic and give a huge boost in performance. At max settings 1920 x 1080 you should expect between 70- 85 fps (with my clocks).

Are you seeing the same resolution? My guess is you uninstalled a bad driver and Windows reinstalled the latest fully tested driver behind your back. Run "dxdiag" and look at what driver and resolution you are getting.
