Is my e7300 dead?

Hello,

I tested my e7300 last week it was stocked for a year and it now boot ups but causing random hang ups. It boots to seven but after several minutes is just hangs. I checked the temperature and its playing between 40-42 degree celcius. Is my CPU dead?

no its not dead if its booting up. You have another issue going on. I suggest memory and hard drive testing.

It was tested on a pentium d board that supports c2d upon testing the c2d hangs but when i put the pentium d processor it runs fine why is that
