kvm switches dont work with wireless mice and keyboards on the whole. you would be better off getting another receiver and connecting the spare to the other pc. logitech will have 1 on there site for about a 10er. http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/promotions/4872 with any luck.
as for the kvm switch box for the monitor you can pick 1 up for as little as 15 quid of ebay.

So, your monitor has only one input? Mine has dvi, hdmi, dp and i can connect one pc at each of these ports and switch between them.

This is what your looking for (Note just an EX as spific one is discontinued): http://www.smarthome.com/97379/USB-2-0-Manual-Share-Swi...
I have had one for several years and it works great.

If Monitor has multipul inputs, posible to get the KVM (Monitor/KB/Mouse -> 2 computers - Just exclude the monitor.

Currently Have 2 computers + Stand-alone DVD recorder (w/Cable input). One KB, Mouse and 32 In 1080P TV w/ 3 Hdmi inputs.
Also have a two upstream and 7 Downstream Hum that I use to switch 4 external HDDs and a scanner between the two Computersd.
Difference between it an above link is that each downstreram device is individually controlled. Looking for It as I had disconnected it a while back.

http://www.weconnex.com/usb-2-to-6-share-switch-station...
6 USB devices -> 2 Computers $44.20

http://www.provantage.com/tripp-lite-u230-204-r~7TRP914...
4 USB devices -> two computers $63.00

Found one that looks just like what I'm using - $40.00:
http://www.usbgear.com/computer_cable_details.cfm?sku=U...

If the Keyboard and Mouse is wireless and shares the same USB wireless Reciever you Then you could also use a 1 input -> 2 computers Plus a 4 port hub.
ie $18.: http://www.usbgear.com/computer_cable_details.cfm?sku=U...

Or, from Newegg for $12.: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Added:

Ok, got your point! The KVM looks good and the reviews sound good. The only problem i can imagine is if you use the HDCP feature on the DVI connection. That is typically not supported by the switches, so you are loosing the copy protection handshake when switching.
